Jesus said, “Go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” — Matthew 28:19-20
Our greatest privilege is joining Jesus in what he is building: his church. When we reach across the street and around the world with the gospel—locally and globally—we impact lives for eternity. BFC’s Missions Ministry focuses on taking the gospel to unreached people groups, Training and supporting national pastors, and church planting.

Our missionaries
Mark McCormick
Mark McCormick has been serving the people of the Republic of Moldova for almost thirty years. As part of the Baptist Union of Moldova, Mark planted and pastored two churches in the South, then he changed his ministry focus to equipping pastors and church members to evangelize and plant churches. Through Moldovan Mission, Mark trains church planters and helps them gather the financial support they need to fulfill their calling. In addition to his mentoring ministry, Mark raises money each year to meet the acute humanitarian aid needs of Moldova - the poorest country in Europe. In 2020, Mark raised enough money from his partnering churches to provide food aid packs to 2400 needy families! We are honored to partner with Mark McCormick as he endeavors to take the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the 900 towns and villages in Moldova without an evangelical church. Please pray for Mark, his wife Mari, and their two daughters Rachael (22 years old) and Abigail (19 years old) as they serve our Lord in Moldova.
Jonathan and Erin Mathews
Jonathan and Erin Mathews have served as church-planting missionaries in Brazil since 2005. Currently, they work in the São Paulo metro region, which is considered one of the largest city centers in the world with a population of 30 million people. São Paulo is a global city as it is home to several displaced nationality groups. Jonathan and Erin have primarily focused their ministry on the government housing districts in the East Zone of São Paulo. As leaders of the Southern Cone Initiative, the Mathews’ goal is to continue to plant and multiply churches by helping people meet, know, and follow Jesus.
Tim Nash
Chicago-born Tim Nash lives and ministers in Tecate, Mexico, which is one of the fastest-growing cities in Mexico. Tim uses one-on-one coaching, in-church workshops, and large events to train local church leaders and pastors to reach Mexico and beyond for Christ. Currently, Tim and a small national team are focused on starting an indigenous-led local church with a Native American Indian tribe (the Kumiai) that live in the Tecate region.
